Costco tip to maybe save you $400

Costco tip to maybe save you $400

| February 15, 2018

Debate abounds whether this health kick will hold, but after some family health scares, I bought myself a treadmill for my birthday.

While patiently waiting for my 300+ pound fountain of youth machine, I happened to notice that the price went down. By a lot, $400 plus tax!

Being a loyal Costco member for life (see this year's credit card rebate below) I armed myself with the order information, and mentally prepared for a long 1-800 call.

To my surprise, Costco is used to this issue, and has a simple online form to request rebates for just such an occasion (as long as it happened in the last 30 days). Three minutes of clicks and I was done, and I have a reminder set to make sure the refund hits my credit card next week.

So the moral of the story is, if you ever buy something expensive from Costco, check back periodically on the price. If it drops, request a refund of the difference on their website and save your money!

I love Costco.
