With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Tom Gartner is a Certified Financial Planner professional with a passion for the financial markets.  He is often recognized by his clients as a "no bull" advocate who only delivers advice in their best interest.  Tom is so committed to doing the most he can do for his clients that he has even offered his services on a "pro bono" basis for clients in most dire need of his assistance.

Tom works exclusively on a fiduciary basis, which means he is held to a standard of only representing the needs of his clients, not his own or his companies needs.  His key strengths are the application of Risk Management to reduce downside risks, asking the hard questions, and telling it like it is to get to the root of his clients money strains.  Using tools of psychology to help people with sometimes costly financial behaviors, Tom enjoys seeing clients light up when they have a plan in place to reach their goals.

Tom earned his degree in Finance from the University of San Diego, where he also received a minor in Psychology.  He received his financial planning certification from Southern Methodist University and is a CFP® professional.  In addition to his pro bono work, Tom also makes donations for referrals to Smile Train to provide cleft palate surgery to children in need.  When he is not working, Tom enjoys boating and spending time with friends, and of course his wife Alison and their two children.
